Niki 2024 Tour Announcement – Buzz World Tour Schedule
Niki is making her way back to the US on the “Buzz World Tour!” Joined by Allison Ponthier and Amy Allen, the Indonesian songstress will kick off on September 5th in Toronto, ON. She’ll make 20+ stops including Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA, before concluding on October 19th in Vancouver, BC.
“I LOVE UUUU I CAN’T TELL U HOW EXCITED I AM TO PLAY THIS NEW MUSIC FOR YOU,” Niki wrote on Instagram to her 2.5 million followers. “SEE YOU ALL AGAIN SOOOON.” Those new tracks she’s referring to are from her third album, Buzz, set for release on August 9th. And let’s just say that the hype around this record is living up to its name.
Coming nearly two years after her sophomore effort, 2022’s Nicole, the 25-year-old singer is warming up her pipes to perform some of her best songs yet. Blending alternative pop and R&B with her pretty-yet-powerful vocals, Niki’s discography is simply sensational. And if the first single off Buzz, “Too Much of a Good Thing,” is any indication, she’s serving up honesty, emotions, and fab instrumentals in 2024.
Sounding like a mix between St. Vincent, Portishead, and Fiona Apple, Niki appears more comfortable and confident in her artistry than ever. However, it took her a long while to feel this way, which she recently opened up about on social media. Describing Buzz as “made with everything I have, with some of the best, most gifted people I know,” it was inspired by “the most on-the-go last few years” of Niki’s life.
“Songs written in random corners of airports, on planes, trains, buses, backstage in green rooms, bathrooms, Holiday Inns, driving through Maryland, flying over Labuan Bajo, drunk in Mexico City, crying in Hawaii, freezing in London, walking fast in New York, heartbroken in Los Angeles,” she rants. “Here’s an honest account of where I’m at now, which often feels like everywhere and nowhere at once.”
Of course, it’s only the beginning for Niki — who has opened for Taylor Swift and Halsey, been named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in Asia, and earned over three billion streams worldwide. She’s made quite the impression with hit songs like “Take A Chance With Me,” “Facebook Friends,” “High School in Jakarta” and “Strange Land.” However, she’ll reach a whole new level with Buzz.
As she prepares to release her third album this summer, don’t forget to grab your Niki tickets to see her in the following cities. They go on sale this Friday, May 17th!
