Nessa Barrett 2023 Tour Announcement – Church Club For The Lonely Tour Schedule
Nessa Barrett is hitting the road again in 2023! The 21-year-old artist will begin her “Church Club For The Lonely Tour” on October 6th at the Austin City Limits festival. She’ll make stops in Raleigh, NC, Columbus, OH, San Jose, CA, and more before concluding on November 16th in Portland, OR.
The first-ever headlining Nessa Barrett tour took place earlier this year, in which she supported her debut album, 2022’s Young Forever. She had a blast belting out alternative pop-rock singles like “Die First” (which is certified Gold!,) “Madhouse,” and “Tired of California!” And while she’ll still give these tracks a little love on her latest trek, she also has a set of brand new songs to debut. Have you heard about her second EP, Hell Is a Teenage Girl?
One listen to “plane to paris,” “BANG BANG!,” “lie,” and the titular track will tell you the type of artist that Nessa Barrett is: influential, exceptionally talented, and always ready to fight for change. She’s living proof that being outwardly feminine doesn’t mean you aren’t also incredibly fierce, and we love her for it! Just watch her music video for “hell is a teenage girl,” which depicts the platinum blonde Barrett riding through a village on fire as she sings about the struggles of being a woman in a man’s world.
“You’re barely a woman, and they call you a w***e/Say that you’re ruined when you pass twenty-four,” she sings. “I’m too sensitive, when I start to cry/ But I’m a cold-hearted, uptight b***h when I keep it inside.” Millions of women poured their hearts out on social media about the relatability of these lyrics, and it’s just the beginning of the risky truths that Nessa Barrett isn’t afraid to belt out. If you hadn’t gathered from her album titles, angst is a common theme among Barrett’s greatest hits.
And while she’s now a young adult, rather than a teenage girl, she speaks and sings for all of her Gen Z peers through the power of lyricism. Nessa Barrett has become one of the hottest stars of her age group over the past few years. She’s worked with jxdn and Travis Barker, performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and released new music that earned her a first-time spot on the Billboard Hot 100! And she can now add two top-selling tours to the list, as tickets are going fast for the Church Club for The Lonely Tour.
