Morat is making its way to your city! The Colombian country-pop band has announced the “Si Ayer Fuera Hoy Tour” for 2024. They’ll begin on January 24th in Chicago, IL, stopping in sixteen cities before concluding on February 25th in Los Angeles, CA.
Supporting Morat’s fourth album of the same name, the Si Ayer Fuera Hoy tour is destined to be a worldly celebration of Latin music. With a little country and pop mixed in, of course! The setlist will include new songs like “Salir Con Vida,” “Debi Suponerlo,” “Paris,” and more, all of which received incredible reviews from critics. With an old-meets-new musical approach from Morat that goes well beyond their eight years together, you’ll be in awe of this beautiful record.
“Si Ayer Fuera Hoy is an attempt to take some elements from yesterday and make music that sounds like today,” Morat explained to Atwood Magazine. “It is a tribute to bands that inspired us and to ways of production that might seem out-of-date but help us do things differently and, therefore, to make music that sounds and feels different.” Surely, they’ve succeeded! Many of Morat’s musical influences, including Joaquin Sabina, Bacilos, and Eric Clapton, can be heard loud and clear on this record. But all with their own unique sound and spins.
Morat, comprised of Simón Vargas Morales, Martín Vargas Morales, Juan Pablo Isaza Piñeros, and Juan Pablo Villamil Cortés, was formed in 2015. And they’ve been on a roll ever since. Their 2016 debut, Sobre el amor y sus efectos secundarios, was an overnight hit that’s since been certified Gold!
