Modest Mouse 2021 Tour Announcement – North American Tour Schedule
Modest Mouse is making a comeback in 2021. The indie rock band has just released their first album in six years, The Golden Casket, and will soon embark on a North American tour to support these new songs.
This Modest Mouse tour begins at Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago, IL, on July 29th and continues throughout the country before playing the final show in Atlanta, GA, on October 24th.
Modest Mouse has always preferred quality over quantity, with most of their seven albums having at least a three-year gap between releases. That being said, you always know that you’re guaranteed a solid, five-star indie rock album from the Portland-based band. The Golden Casket is already collecting killer reviews from fans and music critics!
When Modest Mouse performed their new single, “We Are Between,” on The Tonight Show in June, Rolling Stone said they offered a “gritty, energized take on the raucous song.” In addition, NME called The Golden Casket a “masterful psychedelic patchwork, bouncing between eerie soundscapes (opener ‘F*** Your Acid Trip’), knotty post-punk (‘Walking And Running’) and maximalist pop melody (the ludicrously good fun ‘The Sun Hasn’t left’).”
The overall consensus? This Modest Mouse album contains the same psychedelic pop and positivity that helped them reach mainstream success with hits like “Float On” in the 2000s. Fans can expect to hear a few of those old hits at upcoming Modest Mouse concerts, as singer Isaac Brock recently told Variety that he likes to switch up the setlist each night on tour.
