Metallica 2026 Las Vegas – Life Burns Faster Residency Schedule

Metallica are officially bringing metal to the most high-tech stage on the planet. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will debut their “Life Burns Faster” residency at Sphere in Las Vegas this October 2026, delivering eight massive shows inside the world’s most immersive venue.

True to their M72 blueprint, each Thursday/Saturday pairing will follow the band’s “No Repeat Weekend” format — meaning completely different setlists across both nights. For diehard fans, that’s twice the songs, twice the surprises, and zero duplicates.

“This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting,” drummer Lars Ulrich said when announcing the run. After seeing U2 open the venue in 2023, he knew Metallica had to take on the challenge. Now, they’re ready to push the live experience even further.

If you’ve caught Metallica on the M72 tour, you already know they don’t do small. The in-the-round 360° stage, top-notch production, and marathon-level setlists have defined their shows for the past several years. But Sphere changes the game entirely.
