Mercyful Fate is heading on their first North American tour in over two decades, and needless to say, you need to get your tickets today. The Danish heavy metal troups will kick off in fall 2022, beginning on October 25th in Dallas, TX, and continuing through November 16th in Atlanta, GA.
When you think about the best American metal bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Testament, it’s crucial to know that they were all inspired by Mercyful Fate. The Danish band were a major part of the first wave of black metal in the early 1980s, and helped to define an entire genre with their thrashing choruses and corpse paint. Yes, corpse paint is now a regular thing in metal between KISS, Alice Cooper, and Ghost, but Mercyful Fate did it first. And they’re ready to put their four-decade legacy on full display at the first US Mercyful Fate concert in over twenty years.
