Melissa Etheridge & Indigo Girls 2025 Tour Announcement – Yes We Are Tour Schedule
Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls are joining forces in summer 2025, extending the “Yes We Are Tour” to dozens more cities. They’ll next perform on July 25th at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, continuing through October 12th in Phoenix, AZ.
Fresh on the heels of Pride Month, these queer artists are embarking on a trek filled with empowerment, love, and legendary pop-rock anthems that have stood the test of time. They already hosted one co-headlining tour in the summer of 2024, which sold out all your favorite cities and brought joy to the hearts of thousands, if not millions. Now? The world needs acceptance more than ever, and these artists all have the music in them. In more ways than one.
From the moment they hit the stage, expect a unique-but-fitting musical mix of three masterful songwriters. The Indigo Girls have always brought a magic to live shows where harmonies soar — not just between voices, but through the entire crowd. Imagine hundreds of voices chiming in on “Power of Two” or “Galileo,” a communal feeling so strong it’s practically tactile. And then there’s the hit song, “Closer to Fine,” which was revived a couple years back when it was featured thrice in the blockbuster film, Barbie.
As for Melissa Etheridge? She’s hardly a slacker in the powerful songwriting or strumming department. The 2x Grammy winner has served up one gritty, unflinching, and incredibly raw track after another since 1988. And her biggest hits, like “Bring Me Some Water,” “I’m the Only One,” and “Come to My Window,” are somehow even more reflective when played live. How does she bring so much emotion into these tracks nightly? It’s easy when you write from the heart, and live your truth each day.
Aside from their folk-rock roots, both Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge are known for their philanthropic efforts. Showing support for the queer community for decades, these artists have helped millions of fans remember that they’re not alone. And therefore, it’s no secret that fans begged for a new round of shows with an exciting new moniker. “Yes We Are” isn’t just a tour name, it’s also a statement.
It’s about presence, identity, community…all the things you’ll find in their music. These performers don’t present as typical pop stars, but rather the raw and real versions of themselves you’ve loved since the 1990s. And in 2025, this authenticity feels even more special, don’t you think? Whether you’re hoping to hear the classics or semi-new tracks from their latest albums — Indigo Girls’ 2020 release, Look Long, or Etheridge’s 2021 album, One Way Out, respectively — you’ll feel just like you, only more alive.
