Megadeth 2022 Tour Announcement – The Metal Tour of the Year Schedule
Megadeth and Lamb of God are returning to the stage in 2022 with “The Metal Tour of The Year.” The second leg of their highly successful 2021 trek begins on April 9th in Las Vegas, NV, visiting cities like Grand Rapids, MI, Nashville, TN, Rochester, NY, and more before ending on May 15th in Allentown, PA.
“The Metal Tour of The Year is exactly what it sounds like – a night of some of the best heavy metal bands in the world – live and loud,” says Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine. “Anyone who came to a show last year knows what I mean; only this one’s going be even better. Do not miss out.”
Joined by special guests Trivium and In Flames, the two headliners are guaranteed to bring you a night of headbanging and hard-rock hits. The metal scene is all about community, and you can bond with other fans over the best songs from Megadeth and Lamb of God. Dave Mustaine and his bandmates have been playing to packed crowds for nearly forty years, but took off last year on what was arguably one of their most incredible tours in history.
They played to nearly 200,000 metal fans in dozens of cities, celebrating the return of live music and the bond of their community in the most “metal” sense. Neither the fans nor the bands were quite satisfied when The Metal Tour of the Year ended in October 2021, and now they’re coming back for more with new friends and new tunes.
The group’s sixteenth record, The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!, will be released in 2022. While they’ve only released a 50-second snippet of the title track thus far, the riff alone makes it evident that this will be an epic album. Will they finally play the song in its entirety on the 2022 Megadeth tour, along with other future hits from the record? We’re sure of it.
