The most Y2K-centric music festival lineup is here, and we love it! Lovers and Friends Fest is coming to Las Vegas, NV, on May 6th, featuring your favorite R&B and pop singers from the early 2000s. Headliners include Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Usher, Pitbull, and Christina Aguilera, and it’s just the beginning of this soulful nostalgia fest.
Who else will be there? Chris Brown, Nelly, 50 Cent, and Boyz II Men, to name a few…which makes you wonder what year it is almost magically. The Las Vegas Festival Grounds are no stranger to nostalgia music festivals, hosting the inaugural When We Were Young Fest last year for emo kids and Sick New World in 2023 with nu-metal enthusiasts. Now that rock lovers have had fun; it’s time for the R&B crowd to party like it’s 2002!
It’s not easy to decide what we’re most excited about at Lovers and Friends Fest. Is it hearing world-famous belters like Carey and Aguilera hit their highest notes that could easily cast a spell over all of Las Vegas? Or the next-level R&B crooning that we’ll get from Usher and Chris Brown? Don’t even get us started on Pitbull, 50 Cent, and Missy Elliot, who have owned the rap game for decades now.
The simple answer is that you don’t need to pick a favorite, because we’re thrilled about all of the above! The Lovers and Friends Fest is a quintessential event for all, whether you were alive in the early 2000s or not.
