Louis Tomlinson 2022 Tour Announcement – World Tour Schedule
Louis Tomlinson has announced rescheduled dates for his world tour, now set to begin in early 2022. The trek kicks off on February 1st in Dallas, TX, and makes stops in Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY, and more before wrapping up on March 13th in Los Angeles, CA.
“Let’s try this one last time!” the former One Direction member tweeted in May to announce his 2022 tour dates. “All shows on my world tour will be moving back to 2022, and I’m excited to announce the first wave of new dates. I can’t wait to see you all soon; it’s going to be special!”
“Special” is an understatement, considering how long Tomlinson has had to wait for his first set of solo performances. This is the second time the Louis Tomlinson World Tour has been postponed, as it was initially scheduled to begin in 2020 in support of his debut album, Walls.
Walls has a different sound than Tomlinson’s former One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik – embodying a blend of indie rock and Britpop. The song “Kill My Mind” gives Oasis vibes, while “Two of Us” is a heartfelt tribute to Tomlinson’s late mother. And that’s just the beginning of his journey as a solo artist.
“We do all have a different range of inspiration — that’s what made it interesting, both on a personality level and on a music level,” Tomlinson told Rolling Stone about the solo careers of One Direction. “I think we’re all making really good music as well. So, yeah, it’s nice for me to turn up the radio and hear the boys with another banger.”
Harry Styles already began his Love On tour in 2021, and now it’s Tomlinson’s turn! Fans got a sneak peek with Louis’s brainchild, the “Away From Home Festival,” held virtually in 2020 and sold a whopping 160,000 tickets! Fans were treated to a mini-documentary and streamed concert… and it will be even more emotional once fans see Tomlinson in the flesh.
