Los Ángeles Azules 2022 Tour Announcement – De Iztapalapa Para El Mundo Tour Schedule
Los Ángeles Azules is heading on the De Iztapalapa Para El Mundo tour in late summer 2022, in support of their latest album of the same name! Catch the famed Mexican group beginning August 26th in Denver, CO, with performances continuing through April 1st, 2023 in New Orleans, LA.
It wasn’t long ago that Los Ángeles Azules wrapped up their 40 Años Tour, celebrating four decades of cumbia hits across the country through the end of 2021. It was a well-deserved celebration for the group that blends 1950s cumbia sounds with 1990s dance music, and they’re not done yet. The upcoming Los Ángeles Azules tour supports their newest album, De Iztapalapa Para El Mundo, which was released in March 2020 and denied a proper tour due to the pandemic.
With live music back and bigger than ever, Los Ángeles Azules are taking full advantage. They’re playing their classic songs that they played in Los Angeles in the 1980s, when they were newly formed by the Mejia Avante siblings, along with the newer hits that have gotten them booked at Coachella and beyond. Speaking of Coachella, you may remember them from a certain viral moment that happened a few years back….
In 2018, Los Ángeles Azules gained a new swarm of fans when a video of a shirtless Justin Bieber dancing to Los Ángeles Azules at Coachella went viral. Yes, it truly happened. People wanted to know about the band that made Justin groove in the California desert. We’re not saying that these events were directly correlated, but the group did land their first No.1 single in two decades the following year!
Whether they’re celebrating four decades of artistry, their latest album, or a viral video with a pop star… a Los Ángeles Azules is a must-see event. You can see the famed cumbia group in a series of cities through 2023, with Los Ángeles Azules tickets available now!
