+LIVE+ and Stone Temple Pilots 2024 Tour Announcement – Jubilee Tour Schedule
+LIVE+ and Stone Temple Pilots are bringing the 90s nostalgia on the Jubilee Tour! Set to celebrate 30 years of their respective albums, Throwing Copper and Purple, you’ll experience the magic of this decade and more. Joined by Soul Asylum and Our Lady Peace, the two groups will kick off on August 16th in Concord, CA, continuing through September 15th in Indianapolis, IN.
You can’t discuss the 90s rock scene without mentioning +LIVE+ and Stone Temple Pilots. Especially since they swayed away from the mainstream sub-genres of the time to forge their own respective journey. While each had some grunge elements in their greatest hits…Nirvana or Bush, they were not. And without throwing shade to these two iconic bands, people liked it that way.
Let’s talk about +LIVE+, your favorite Pennsylvania rock band with a funk flair. While it’s now just founding member Ed Kowalczyk and several touring musicians, he puts on an incredible show. We’re talking about a performance that old and new fans alike will never forget. Expect to hear all the favorites from Throwing Copper, including “Selling the Drama,” “I Alone,” “Lightning Crashes,” and “All Over You.”
These songs helped the record get to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and gain a cult following for +LIVE+, many of which are still around today, And while +LIVE+ has since released six more albums, most recently 2014’s The Turn, many agree that Throwing Copper is their signature project. What better way to celebrate its 30th anniversary than with a tour alongside their friends in Stone Temple Pilots?
Furthermore, these SoCal-based alternative rock icons are on a roll. With over 40 million albums sold, one GRAMMY, and eight No. 1 singles, Stone Temple Pilots has earned a reputation as one of the most successful rock bands of the 1990s. They’re aware that many of these achievements are, in large part, due to the majesty of Purple, their sophomore album that went above and beyond what anyone expected from them.
Fresh off the success of their debut album, Core, which sold eight million copies, Stone Temple Pilots knew they had big shoes to fill with their new songs. But not only was Purple the farthest thing from a sophomore slump, it helped to usher in a new era for then-frontman Scott Weiland and his bandmates. They received incredible reviews on singles like “Interstate Love Song,” “Big Empty,” and “Vasoline,” and cemented Stone Temple Pilots as the rock and roll legends they remain today.
