Lights 2022 Tour Announcement – Baby I’m Back Tour Schedule
Lights has announced the “Baby I’m Back tour” for spring 2022, and you simply need to see the electropop icon. She’ll begin performing on April 3rd in Portland, OR, and continue through May 7th in Toronto, CA.
“I love you; I miss you. Streaming and all that is fine but let’s get back to the REAL THING,” Lights, born Valerie Poxleitner, wrote on Instagram regarding her upcoming tour. “It’s been years since we did this, but my couch indent is about to get abandoned once again. BABY IM (coming) BACK!”
Indeed, it’s been over four years since the last full-length Lights tour, as she’s taken a break from touring to focus on parenthood, wellness, and her intense love for cosplaying. But fans of the electropop and formerly-emo icon have stood by her through it all and can’t wait to hear hits from her four albums played live once again.
We’re talking about tracks like “Drive My Soul” and “Second Go,” with upbeat melodies that have aged well from the stages of the Warped tour to the world’s biggest venues. She’s dipped her toes back into the electronic scene in 2021, partnering with Illennium and Dabin for the track “Hearts on Fire” and playing alongside DeadMau5 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Poxleitner has always had an open heart, and she’s proudly shared her feelings about her musical comeback. Regarding her collaboration with DeadMau5, she wrote that it was “impossible to articulate how much being back at Red rocks with @deadmau5 and co meant to me” after a 19-month hiatus from performing. She continued, “love you all forever. I’m ready for more now.”
