Lacuna Coil 2024 Tour Announcement – Ignite The Fire Tour Schedule
Gear up for a night of glam fits and goth rock! Lacuna Coil has announced the “Ignite The Fire Tour” for 2024, taking the Italian metal band to nine US cities. They’ll begin on May 2nd in Wilmington, DE, and continue through the 15th in St. Louis, MO.
Joined by New Years Day and Oceans Of Slumber, this Lacuna Coil tour will bring all the best goths out to play. With their haunting melodies, high-powered guitar riffs, and heavenly joint vocals from Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro, you’ll be blown away by one of the best international metal bands around. And the best part? They’ll have some brand new tunes to debut! The as-yet-untitled ninth album from Lacuna Coil (and first since 2019) is due out in 2024, and it’s destined to warm your black little heart.
They’ve already released the first single, “Never Dawn,” which mixes Ferro’s gruff growls with Scabbia’s charismatic clean vocals for a contrasting musical effect that’s simply unmatched. Some compare them to Evanescence, others say they’re like a heavier version of Heart. But in reality, Lacuna Coil is in a category all their own. And if the first single is anything to go by, the band’s first album in nearly five years will be an absolute heavy metal masterpiece.
Well, we should call it their first album of new material in a while. Because Lacuna Coil did come out with Comalies XX just last year, a reimagined take on their second album in honor of its 20th anniversary. The best Lacuna Coil songs, including “Heaven’s a Lie,” “Swamped,” and “Aeon,” were given a mini-makeover. Complete with unique instrumentals, vocal harmonies, and beats to better represent the band’s growth over the past two decades, you’ll fall in love with these heavy hits all over again.
We’re expecting to hear both the original and revamped versions of Comalies favorites on the upcoming Lacuna Coil tour, along with as-yet-unheard tracks.
