Lacuna Coil 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Lacuna Coil returns to the US in fall 2022, joined by Butcher Babies, Uncured, and Lions for 13 performances. The Italian metal heroes will kick off on September 8th in Harrisburg, PA, and continue through the 23rd in Joliet, IL.
It wasn’t long ago that Lacuna Coil completed their co-headlining trek with Apocalyptica, but they’re not finished playing to packed crowds in the US. The goth metal heroes from Milan are known for their dark demeanor and mosh-worthy musical style. However, don’t be fooled into thinking they’re just like another set of international hard rock heroes that will also be touring soon. Ghost, they are not. Lacuna Coil is in its own league and has been a legendary part of the Italian metal scene since 1994, and now they’re ready to rock in the US.
Songs like “Swamped,” “Enjoy the Silence,” “Heaven’s a Lie,” and “Blood, Tears, Dust” helped many generations embrace their inner rock star. Frontwoman Cristina Scabbia was a female lead singer in the metal scene long before it became the norm and never let the pressure get to her. On the contrary, the group redefined what it meant to be a metal band with dual female and male vocal harmonies, prominent guitar lines, and gothic garb that often made parents uncomfortable. Fortunately, they didn’t care about the haters, which helped Lacuna Coil rise to prominence and sell over two million records worldwide.
These days, they’re doing better than ever. The band continues to support their 2019 album, Black Anima, while they’ve hinted at a new project in 2022. “Yes, there will be new music coming out soon,” male vocalist Andrea Ferro told Metal Injection, “and soon we’re gonna announce what it is, exactly, but it’s not album number ten.” Scabbia followed up by stating, “It is something special — a special project. But it is recorded. We’re actually finishing little things here and there.”
