Knotfest Roadshow 2022 Lineup and Ticket Schedule
Knotfest Roadshow has extended through fall 2022, taking Slipknot’s annual event to 9 new stops. Joined by Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire, they’ll kick off September 20th in Nashville, TN, and continue through October 7th in Irvine, CA.
Knotfest has been the ultimate party for metalheads for nearly a decade, and you didn’t think it was over for 2022, did you? Slipknot’s special event sold out dozens of arenas with their spring stint alongside In This Moment, Jinger, and Cypress Hill, and now they’re ready for the fall festivities to begin. Slipknot’s trademark masked shows with be bigger, better, and more flame-filled than ever before, and we can’t wait to hear “Psychosocial,” “Before I Forget,” and “The Devil in I” on the country’s biggest stages.
Along with stops at rock music festivals like Louder Than Life and Aftershock, the group will visit cities like Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, and Phoenix, AZ. Slipknot had a tough couple of years being unable to tour due to the pandemic and wants to ensure that every inch of the country has the opportunity to see their masked and mosh-friendly show. In addition to these Slipknot concerts, they’ve also kept us updated on the status of their seventh album, the follow-up to 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind and hinted that new music is coming very soon.
The group has dropped little hints about the upcoming record. Drummer Jay Weinberg said it includes “the heaviest blues song on Earth,” while frontman Corey Taylor made a grand declaration at a recent Slipknot concert. “Now, we don’t have an exact date on the new album’s release, but I’m here to tell you, you’re not going to be waiting very, very f***ing long,” he told the crowd. “I promise you; you will have new Slipknot music very fucking soon.”
We’re not sure if that means next month, week, or fall 2022, but we’ll take the hint and run with it. If the latest single, “The Chapeltown Record,” is any indication, this will be one of the heaviest records in recent years, and you can’t miss your chance to hear these new songs live for the first time at these Slipknot concerts.
