Kesha 2023 Tour Announcement – Gag Order Tour Schedule
Kesha is embarking on her “Gag Order Tour” in the fall of 2023, taking the pop songstress to 20 cities! She’ll kick off on October 15th in Dallas, TX, making stops in Atlanta, GA, Newport, KY, Milwaukee, WI, and more before wrapping up on November 18th in Los Angeles, CA.
“Without the darkness, there is no light. So I let my darkness have the light,” Kesha said in a statement. “I can’t fight the truth. Life is difficult and painful. It is for everyone. “She adds that “an artist doesn’t exist to make others happy” and that she “believes an artist gives voice, motion, color to the emotions we all have.” These include “the good emotions and the unmanageably f***ing miserable ones.”
Kesha has experienced many conflicting feelings over the past decade. Mostly due to her ongoing legal battle with producer Dr. Luke and involuntary break from making music. Her pain, heartache, helplessness, and eventual hope have all been captured in her fifth album, Gag Order. Despite the title, this project ironically allows Kesha’s voice to be heard more than ever.
Abandoning her previous party-girl persona, which followed her throughout the 2010s with songs like “TiK ToK” and “Blah Blah Blah,” she’s showing her serious side with Gag Order. Not only is she pausing her signature mainstream pop for a blend of art pop, electronica, and psychedelic music, but she’s also tackling heavy subject matter such as depression, loss, and addiction.
New songs like “Fine Line,” “Eat The Acid,” and “Only Love Can Save Us Now” are some of the deepest she’s ever written…a lyrical diary entry only enhanced by Kesha’s pop-country twang. She grew up half in Los Angeles and half in Nashville, remember? But while these tracks are definitely heavy, don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. Gag Order, and its subsequent Kesha tour, are, first and foremost, a symbol of empowerment for the singer.
While she spent most of her 20s being silent and doing as she was told, everything has changed for the now 36-year-old. She’s taking her power back, finding her voice, and connecting with her fans on a fun yet incredibly freeing level. And you need to see Kesha in her Gag Order era. Get your tickets now!
