Kenny Chesney 2022 Tour Announcement – I Go Back Tour Schedule
Kenny Chesney has announced the “I Go Back tour” for early 2023, with the country megastar leaving the stadiums behind in favor of more intimate venues. He’ll kick off these Kenny Chesney concerts on March 25th in University Park, PA, making stops in Oklahoma City, OK, Greensboro, NC, Grand Rapids, MI, and more before wrapping up on May 27th in Orange Beach, CA.
“When a year is as hot and alive as 2022 was, you don’t want to try to recapture that magic. Or maybe it’s me,” Chesney wrote on his official website. “I still have the sounds of diesel engines and No Shoes Nation in my head – and that made me ask, ‘What else could I do? What would be something that would put me every bit as much in the music and give No Shoes Nation another reason to believe?” “How can we reach those people who might not come to stadium shows, who live a little off the obvious path, but who love this music every bit as much…,” he continued, expressing his love for his loyal fan base called “No Shoes Nation.”
“And that’s when it hit me: ‘I Go Back.’ That song is about holding all those things that shaped you very close, recognizing how special they are – and keeping them alive any way you can,” he concluded. “So, I decided that rather than just go repeat what we did, I wanted to take this band and these songs to a lot of the cities we played on our way up! Let’s call the tour I Go Back – and do just that.” It’s been nearly two decades since Chesney played some of these venues, as he’s been too busy selling out NFL stadiums and becoming a multiplatinum country hero! But he’ll never forget where he came from, and “No Shoes Nation” has the chance to see their idol up close and personal on the I Go Back tour.
Chesney has toured so frequently over the years that The Wall Street Journal once called him the “King of the Road,” and you’ll be hearing three decades’ worth of country-rock hits. There’s the hit song “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem,” that helped inspire the name for his fan base, along with “There Goes My Life,” “Somewhere With You,” “Anything But Mine,” and many more. He’ll also be playing some new-ish songs from his nineteenth album, 2020’s Here and Now! Chesney has a loyal devotion to his fans that few other country music artists can compete with, and you’ll see it firsthand on the I Go Back tour. Get your tickets to a Kenny Chesney concert today!
