Keith Sweat is celebrating 35 years of his debut album on the “Make It Last Forever Tour!” The R&B heavyweight will begin on February 2nd in Chicago, IL, stopping in ten cities before concluding on the 29th in Pensacola, FL.
Can you believe that it’s been three-and-a-half decades since Keith Sweat dropped his debut, 1987’s Make It Last Forever? The record helped him rise to mainstream success with singles like “I Want Her,” “Something Just Ain’t Right,” and the titular track. And while Sweat’s sweet and soulful voice was always the star, he also garnered attention for his early use of the “new jack swing” sound.
Fusing the production techniques of hip-hop and dance hop and the urban sound of R&B, Keith Sweat’s music appealed to music lovers under every umbrella.
