Kehlani 2022 Tour Announcement – Blue Water Road Tour Schedule

Kehlani is preparing for the Blue Water Road tour, which will be just as fun as it sounds! Joined by Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad, this 28-show trek begins on July 30th in Raleigh, NC, and continues through October 21st in Honolulu, HI. 

It’s been a while since the last headlining Kehlani tour, partly due to the pandemic and also stemming from the singer’s questions about their future (more on that later). However, they did play a handful of music festivals in 2021 that remind you why you fell in love with Kehlani’s soulful, mind-blowingly beautiful voice. 

These include Made in America festival alongside Justin Bieber and Megan Thee Stallion, Governor’s Ball with Billie Eilish and Post Malone, plus a slot at Outside Lands in San Francisco, CA, alongside a long list of alternative and pop artists. Kehlani loves performing alongside their friends, but now they’re back and ready to headline their own tour to support their new record, Blue Water Road.

Blue Water Road is Kehlani’s third record, released in late April 2022. Critics highly praised the R&B and pop album, with The New York Times noting its “delicate warmth” and “tenderness not felt since their 2017 album, SweetSexySavage.” Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly aptly compared Blue Water Road to a “breezy coastal drive — you can practically feel the beachy wind in your hair and hear the lulling tides lapping at the shore, waiting to pull you in,” before stating, “this is vibe music.”

We’ve always been able to vibe with classic Kehlani songs, like “Everything,” “Nights Like This,” and “Distraction,” but you’ll reach a new level of zen with Blue Water Road. This is Kehlani’s most confident album yet, with the 27-year-old singer telling NME that they were in a “lighter, mature, happy, fun space.” However, it didn’t exactly start that way. 

“I lost my passion for a while,” admitted Kehlani in the same interview. “I feel like there’s an erosion of an artist that happens in the music industry – you just get less and less shiny and really dull.” I got really dull for a while, and now I’m back feeling everything and expressing myself again,” they continued. “It’s pretty priceless.”

Blue Water Road is lighter than previous Kehlani releases but still features intense emotions that are relatable with every listen.
