Kaleo 2024 Tour Announcement – Payback Tour Schedule
Kaleo has dozens of US dates lined up in 2024, exploring the country on the “Payback tour!” The Icelandic rock band will next play on June 11th in Philadelphia, PA, continuing through October 10th in Cleveland, OH.
It’s going to be an exciting year for the blues-rock quintet. Along with opening for The Rolling Stones on the Philadelphia date of their Hackney Diamonds tour, Kaleo will headline some of the grandest venues of their career. They’ve sold out the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, on June 16th, and are set to play in Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, Austin, TX, and more in the coming months.
These Kaleo concerts will be a culmination of their three albums — their 2013 self-titled debut, 2016’s A/B (which has sold over a million copies globally), and 2021’s Surface Sounds. Meanwhile, they’ve just released a brand new single, “Lonely Cowboy,” and fans are obsessed with the soft instrumentals accompanied by Jökull Júlíusson’s gruff vocals. Their performance of the song at the Grand Ole Opry was hopelessly fitting, ushering in a new era for Kaleo.
“It feels like a Spaghetti Western, and I love those vibes,” says Júlíusson, also known as JJ, about “Lonely Cowboy.” “My friends and family have always encouraged me to put it out, but now was the right time. It’s an important one for me.” We can only assume that more new Kaleo singles are to come, and it’s an exciting time to be a fan of the Icelandic band. Their sound, which fuses rock, blues, pop, and occasional country, is unmatched, and attendees of the Payback tour will get the full Kaleo experience.
