Jordan Davis 2023 Tour Announcement – Damn Good Time Tour Schedule
Prepare to have a “Damn Good Time” on the upcoming Jordan Davis tour! The country star will begin his fall 2023 trek on August 31st in Atlanta, GA, making stops in Nashville, TN, Des Moines, IA, Chesterfield, MO, and more before wrapping up on October 21st in Las Vegas, NV.
Named for a song off Davis’ sophomore album, 2023”s Bluebird Days, the Damn Good Time tour is destined to live up to his name. In only five years’ time, Jordan Davis has become one of the biggest names in country music. You may remember his hit single, “Buy Dirt,” with Luke Bryan, which reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts. Oh, and it even won “Song of the Year” at the 56th Annual CMA’s!
The song definitely helped Jordan Davis get noticed in his 2020s era, but he also has plenty more country music essentials to share with the crowd. We’re talking about “Next Thing You Know,” “Fishing Spot,” “No Time Soon,” and more. And you’ll hear them all on the Damn Good Time tour. Just how much of a mark did Bluebird Days make on the Nashville scene? The reviews speak for themselves. Country Swag calls it “an exceptional body of work” that “elevates Davis even further as a notch above the genre’s next class of superstars.”
Meanwhile, Billboard praised Davis’ authenticity on the record, even compared to his brutally honest 2018 debut, Home State. The 35-year-old Louisiana native opened up to the publication about his songwriting style, which was impacted heavily by the two years away due to the pandemic. “When you are touring, it’s hard not to stay in the touring mindset as you are writing a song,” he says. “You start writing a song for a spot in the set and not necessarily just writing a song.”
“With the space and with the time off, allowed me to just truly sit down and write an honest real song,” he continued. “Without that time off, I don’t think we would have written a lot of these songs that are on this album.” Spoiler alert: one of those songs is “Buy Dirt!” “With us saying that we wanted to be honest with this album, there was no one foot in and kind of easing into this,” he explains. “It’s like, ‘All right, man, if we’re going to be honest, you’ve just got to be honest.”
“Whether it’d be talking about my temper on ‘Short Fuse’ or talking about the way I view money on ‘Money Isn’t Real,’ how fast my kids are growing and the guilt I feel being gone half the year… that’s all real stuff, and I know I’m not the only person in the world that’s going through that.” Indeed, the best Jordan Davis songs are not only superbly catchy but also super relatable. He’s shown his growth as an artist, father, and overall human being with Bluebird Days, and can’t wait to show his fans on the Damn Good Time tour. Get your tickets today!
