It’s time for a Joe Satriani tour unlike any other! The exemplary guitarist is bringing the band back together for the “G3 Tour,” taking you on a state-of-the-art sound voyage that you’ll never forget. Joined by his original co-instrumentalists, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai, he’ll begin on January 23rd, 2024, in Tucson, AZ. These Joe Satriani concerts will visit Las Vegas, NV, Seattle, WA, Oakland, CA, and more before concluding on February 10th in Los Angeles, CA.
“Reuniting the original G3 line up is a dream come true for me,” Satriani says. “I can’t wait to take the stage with Eric and Steve again!” For those who aren’t familiar, the G3 Tour is a Satriani-founded event that’s not quite annual, but has taken place most years since its formation in 1996. The inaugural show was alongside Johnson and Vai, making this a much-talked-about reunion for rock music aficionados. However, he’s also toured with guitar gods like John Petrucci, Robert Fripp, Steve Morse, Phil Collen and dozens more over the decades.
Since its been five years since the last G3 Tour, fans were starting to wonder if it would ever return. Look, we get it…Joe Satriani is insanely busy and a musical mastermind in his own right. He’s spent the 2020s embarking on solo treks, like last year’s Earth Tour, and has released two new albums, 2020’s Shapeshifting and 2022’s The Elephants of Mars.
