Jinjer 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Jinjer is taking their show on the road in fall 2022, with the Ukrainian metalcore band hitting up dozens of US cities. These Jinjer concerts will kick off on October 31st in San Diego, CA, and make stops in Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, New York, NY, and more before concluding on December 22nd in Los Angeles, CA.
“See you in the US this fall alongside very special guests P.O.D. with massive support coming from VENDED, MALVOLENCE+ and our Ukrainian brothers SPACE OF VARIATIONS!,” the band wrote on the Jinjer Instagram page. They’re continuing to support their fourth album, 2021’s Wallflowers, but will play all the fan favorites that you’ve loved since 2008. From “Pisces” and “Perennial” to “Outlander” and “Retrospection,” you’ll have the time of your life fist-pumping along to Tatiana “Tati” Shmailyuk and her bandmates.
What can you expect from a Jinjer tour after the release of Wallflower, their first album since 2019’s Macro? It’s complicated. They’ve rapidly increased in popularity to the point where their name is plastered across festival lineups across the country, while their followers on Instagram and IRL continue to rise each day. There’s a lot to celebrate, but also plenty of sorrow that takes place within these songs. As the title suggests, Wallflower has calming vibes that appear intermittently throughout the record. However, it’s still a heavy and angsty album at heart.
A review by Metal Goddesses says it best, praising new songs like “Colossus” and “Vortex” while providing insight into the latter’s lyrical journey for the casual listener. “After two heavy songs the calm and melodic intro of ‘Vortex’ gives the listener some rest,” the publication states, “The beautiful voice of Tatiana gives some meditative mood and so the extreme part feels fresher.” “The track becomes heavier and heavier, the tension visibly increases, even the inclusions of cleans don’t weaken this tension,” it continues, “‘Vortex’ ends with a thick breakdown supported by one of the deepest Tatiana’s growls.”
Tatiania Shmailyuk is known as one of the most prominent women in metalcore, and her reputation is well intact on Wallflower. Her rhythmic growls and grand breakdowns are better than ever, and they’ll sound unreal in the flesh. Of course, she certainly has a softer side. In addition to the most iconic metalcore hits, this Jinger tour also provides the chance to support a great cause. Any fan of the band knows that Jinger is extremely proud of their Ukrainian roots, which is why a portion of the tour’s proceeds will go directly to charity. These organizations help to support the tumultuous happenings in their home country, and the band is excited to put their Ukranianian pride on display while playing for their legions of fans.
This Jinger tour is going to be one to remember, and you can’t miss the chance to make a difference in Ukraine while enjoying the best metalcore hits. Get your tickets to a Jinjer concert today!
