Jimmy Buffett 2021 Tour Announcement – Life On The Flip Side Tour Schedule

Can’t choose between splurging on a tropical vacation or a life-changing concert this summer? Now is the time to join Buffett on his Life on the Flip Side tour, which began on July 10th in Indianapolis, IN, and will continue through April 30, 2022, in Charlotte, NC.

Jimmy Buffett tours have taken place nearly every summer in the singer’s five-decade career, with legions of fans (called “Parrotheads”) descending upon arenas to hear “Margaritaville” and more. The COVID-19 pandemic forced Buffett to take a break from touring in 2020, even with the release of his thirtieth (30TH!) studio album, Life on the Flip Side, in May of that year. 

While a global pandemic wasn’t how Buffett imagined taking his first summer off, he tried to stay positive. “The pandemic comes along, and I’m gin-clear focused on the things that I actually can do, and the things that I can’t do I can’t whine about,” he told Billboard in May 2021. “It’s like you are getting on a boat: If there’s a storm, you can’t go back to the hotel and order Eggs Benedict. You gotta get your a– through the storm. So that’s what it was kinda like.”

As the grandson of a sailor, Buffett knows all about weathering storms, and the laid-back attitude and tropical vibes that he has made his trademark come in use during a difficult year like 2020. As clouds begin to disappear around the country and live music makes its return, Jimmy Buffett is ready to get back to his rightful place: the stage.

The Life on the Flip Side tour will certainly feature new songs from the Jimmy Buffett album it was named for, but the singer will also be playing the classics! “Come Monday,” “A Pirate Looks at Forty,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” are played at practically every Jimmy Buffett concert. And of course, we can’t forget “Margaritaville,” the global hit that Buffett has made his brand. 

You may know “Margaritaville,” Buffett’s hit song from 1977 that has since become his way of life. The song’s calming lyrics and tropical vibe have helped define Buffett’s career, and even over forty years later, its legacy lives on in the form of hospitality. Parrotheads still love to get a drink at the Margaritaville restaurants and resorts that reside around the world!
