Jessie Reyez has announced “The YESSIE tour” for fall 2022, visiting 29 cities in support of her upcoming sophomore album. She’ll kick off these Jessie Reyez concerts on October 13th in Miami, FL, and make stops in New Orleans, LA, San Francisco, CA, Denver, CO and more before wrapping up on December 4th in New York, NY.
“#Yessie. About leaning into happiness. About assessing mistakes. About getting better,” the Canadian singer wrote on the Jessie Reyez Instagram about her second album. She continued by stating that it’s also about “constant growth, being present, grace, and saying ‘f*** it’ more often.” It sounds like she’s going to make quite the statement with these new songs, and we can’t wait to hear them! While Reyez gained global attention as the opening act for Halsey and Billie Eilish on their respective tours, she’s coming into her own beautifully. Reyez released her debut album, Before Love Came to Kill Us, in March 2020, and has been open about it being a not-so-ideal time to celebrate. The pandemic shut down the entire world that very same month, and Reyez was unable to give the record a proper tour or send off into the mainstream music world. She was able to make the best out of a bad situation, using the time during quarantine to pen new tracks and reconnect with her old pal Billie Eilish.
