In Flames 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

In Flames are heading back to the US, and we can’t wait to see the Swedish metal troops. Joined by Fit For An Autopsy and Vended, they’ll kick off the trek on September 6th in Boston, MA, and make dozens of stops before the final show on October 16th in Atlanta, GA.

Fresh off their stint as a supporting act for Megadeth and Lamb of God, the alt-metal group is thrilled to embark on their own headlining tour. With a career over three decades, you can expect to hear all the best tracks from their thirteen albums. These include early hits like “The Quiet Place,” “Cloud Connected,” and “Bullet Ride,” which helped pioneer melodic death metal and influenced countless 2000s metalcore bands. There’s also the recently-released single, “State of Slow Decay.”

“The new song is a full-throttle pummeling, built upon a crushing low end, frenetic double-kick drumming, and some powerful riffs, as Anders Friden unleashes the animalistic angst of a crumbling under the burdens of the world you know,” Loudwire says about the In Flames song. Meanwhile, singer Friden says that “‘State of Slow Decay’ “includes everything that In Flames are known for” and is “more than just a song, it’s a f***ing statement.”

The world has gone through a significant transformation since In Flames released their last album, 2019’s I, the Mask, and it’s made clear with the new track. It’s just a small taste of what’s to come from the legendary Swedish rockers, who have hinted that their fourteenth record is just around the corner. You’ll get authentic lyrics that are majorly relatable between the death growls and harmonized lead guitar melodies, which switch between Iron Maiden and death metal inspirations. Add in a few post-pandemic woes and sing-along choruses, and you have the perfect songs for the new setlist on this In Flames tour.
