This rodeo and concert event has been held in the NRG Stadium in Houston since 2003. And fresh off the heels of its 20th anniversary celebration, the Houston Rodeo is ready to rile things up big time in 2024. In the best way, of course! It draws in millions of people per year, and believe it or not, the country megastars in the concert lineup are only a mere part of its appeal.
There’s also a live rodeo show, livestock auctions, pig racing, barbecue stations, and a carnival. Therefore, it’s natural that honky-tonk fans from all over the country flock to the Houston Rodeo. Where else can you pet an award-winning horse, win a stuffed animal the size of your head, and see a Zac Brown Band concert (also a 2024 headliner!) all on the same day?

And then there’s the concert schedule, which has featured some of the most prominent musical artists in the world. Texas natives like Beyonce, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez have all graced the stage. At the same time, country icons like Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, and many more are regulars at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Even if they’re taking a bit of a break in 2024.
This rodeo show is a must-see for any country fan and is known as Houston’s signature event. New York City has New Year’s Eve in Times Square, San Diego has Comic-Con, and Houston has its Livestock Show and Rodeo that’s been running for almost a century!
