The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is back in business, and it’s a dream for any country music fan! The world’s largest rodeo will be held in March 2022 in Houston, TX, featuring performances from George Strait, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, and Cody Johnson!
This rodeo and concert event has been held in the NRG Stadium in Houston since 2003 and typically draws in millions of people each year! Featuring a live rodeo show, livestock auctions, pig racing, barbeque stations, and a carnival… it’s easy to see why honky-tonk fans from all over the country flock to this event.
And then there’s the concert schedule, which has featured some of the most prominent musical artists in the world. Texas natives like Beyonce, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez have all graced the stage. At the same time, country icons like Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, and many more are regulars at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
This rodeo show is a must-see for any country fan and is known as Houston’s signature event. New York City has New Year’s Eve in Times Square, San Diego has Comic-Con, and Houston has its Livestock Show and Rodeo that’s been running for almost a century!
There’s no greater Texas good time than an intense rodeo show, followed by a George Strait concert and the best barbeque you’ve ever tasted… and after the pandemic canceled this event in 2020, we’ll never take the Houston Rodeo for granted again.
