Govt Mule 2025 Tour Announcement – Back in the Saddle Tour Schedule
Govt Mule are heading “Back in the Saddle” on their first tour in nearly a year and a half! After a lengthy hiatus, the jam band is more than ready to perform again. Supported by Tedeschi Trucks Band, moe., and Big Sugar, they’ll kick off on July 24th at FloydFest and continue through October 28th in Reading, PA.
“How has it been 30 years since Gov’t Mule’s first album came out? It’s kinda crazy to believe – time really does fly when you’re doing what you love!” singer Warren Haynes shared in a statement alongside the Govt Mule tour announcement. “It’s also hard to believe that it’s been over a year since the last Mule tour. Matt, Danny, Kevin and I are chomping at the bit to be back out there celebrating this monumental anniversary with our amazing fans.”
It’s difficult for all of us to believe, boys…because a series of Govt Mule concerts is nearly guaranteed annually for Southern rock fans. With hits like “Thorazine Shuffle,” “Mule,” “Endless Parade” and “Bad Little Doggie” under their belt – all delivered in unique arrangements nightly in authentic jam band style — Govt Mule’s live shows are a major part of their legacy.
And while they’ve certainly deserved a break after three decades of nonstop touring, it’s clear Gov’t Mule weren’t ready to hang up their guitars just yet. The Back in the Saddle tour will celebrate not only the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut, featuring songs like “Mother Earth” and “Left Coast Groovies,” but also their exciting future. This includes their thirteenth and latest record, 2023’s Peace…Like a River….
And the new album that fans have begged for after nearly two years. Is it in the works? Only time will tell, as Warren Haynes is a very busy man…but there’s plenty of Gov’t Mule hit songs to go around on their latest tour. The Grammy-nominated band has topped the charts, sold millions of albums, and impacted Southern rock in a very real way since the mid-1990s. And you’ll finally get to see them in action again on the Back in the Saddle tour.
