Foreigner 2023 Tour Announcement – Farewell Tour Schedule
Foreigner has announced its farewell tour, a bittersweet occasion for fans of the iconic rock supergroup. These concerts will kick off on July 6th, 2023, in Alpharetta, GA, making stops in Raleigh, NC, Austin, TX, Irvine, CA, and more before finishing up on September 3rd in Holmdel, NJ.
“Many years ago, I wrote a song called ‘Feels Like The First Time,’ and today we are launching one last worldwide tour,” says Foreigner frontman Mick Jones, “We will be presenting a show that I know will have the same enthusiasm as our very first appearances.” “The tour will start this summer in America, and we hope to get to every place that we have played over the last several years,” he continued, “While I’m sure our fans will have mixed feelings about the end of the road for the band, I know our shows are going to delight audiences everywhere.”
Of course, this is just the first leg of the farewell Foreigner tour, as the band is supposed to extend performances into 2024! People aren’t quite ready to say goodbye just yet, as the band has become an arena rock spectacle since its formation in 1976. While Jones is the sole remaining member, their live performances have remained solid and sensational even with the lineup changes. Singer Kelly Hansen has been bringing smooth vocals and sweet dance moves to Foreigner since 2005, making songs like “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Cold as Ice,” “I Want to Know What Love Is,” and “Juke Box Hero” his own with every performance.
While it’s sad that Foreigner concerts are winding down, there is a silver lining… every last member will be super on top of their game. The band’s legacy includes nine top-selling albums (they’ve sold 80 million records!), classic rock nostalgia you can’t beat, and so much more. And they’re going to make sure that you remember all of these things and more at their farewell shows.
