If you’ve been searching for a music festival that lets you camp out in lush green pastures instead of kicking up dirt in the Southern California desert, look no further than Float Fest. It sits on the land where the Battle of Gonzales took place in 1835 and has plenty of rich history and radiant nature. Sure, you can get a hotel from Houston, Dallas, or Austin, but the remote location of the Guadalupe River makes it a prime getaway spot. “You’ll want to stay each night so you can wake up early and hit the river to make sure you’re done floating before the music starts,” says the FAQ section on the official Float Fest website. “You’ll want to stay every night so you can party all day and not have to worry about how you’re getting home. The bottom line is, you’ll want to camp!”
Float Fest has become a Texas tradition over the past five years, hosting names like Ice Cube, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala, and many more.
