Evanescence 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Evanescence has announced a tour for fall 2021, with the band joined by Halestorm for the female-fronted rock show of the year. Shows will begin on November 5th in Portland, OR, and continue for 15 dates before ending on December 18th in Worcester, MA.
“Words can’t express how excited we are to go back on tour with our friends and rock out again,” Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee said in a statement. “We’ve been building this new music in isolation for over a year and dreaming of what it will be like to play it live finally and to experience it together with our fans for the first time. We can’t wait to see you there!”
The feeling is definitely mutual, as fans can’t wait to hear new tracks from Evanescence’s fifth album, The Bitter Truth. Released in March 2021, Lee has described this album as “dark and heavy” and “weird and sparse” in a Reddit AMA, and these don’t even do it justice.
We haven’t forgotten the way that Evanescence filled our iPods (yes, iPods) with goth-rock and nu-metal hits all through the 2000s – from pop culture favorites like “Bring Me to Life” and “Lithium” to the heartbreaking “My Immortal.” The hints of nostalgia, backed by Lee’s hauntingly beautiful vocals, are more than present on The Bitter Truth.
That being said, Evanescence has grown tremendously since releasing their last full-length original material, their self-titled third album, back in 2011. Lee and her bandmates have strengthened as artists, and people, which is evident with new tracks like “Wasted on You” and “The Game is Over.”
Are you excited to hear these new tracks live, along with the opening act Halestorm for a flurry of female-fronted 2000s rock? Tickets for the upcoming Evanescence tour are on sale now. Get yours today!
