Erykah Badu 2023 Tour Announcement – Unfollow Me Tour Schedule
Erykah Badu is all set for the “Unfollow Me Tour” this summer! The neo-soul songstress will begin on June 11th in San Antonio, TX, making 25 stops before concluding on July 23rd in Dallas, TX.
While plenty of artists were thrilled to perform again after the pandemic in late 2021, it was an even bigger deal for Erykah Badu fans. That year, the soulful singer took off on her first full-length tour in nearly a decade! Fans had a blast hearing her sing her greatest hits like “Didn’t Cha Know,” “Tyrone,” “Love of My Life,” and “Bag Lady” for the first time in years. And it was a casual reminder of something we already knew: Erykah Badu is the voice of a generation.
Whether she’s effortlessly navigating soulful melodic lines or delving into intricate vocal improvisations, Badu’s singing exudes a distinctive warmth and sincerity that draws you in. She can hit every note flawlessly and never lose her sense of soul, and what more could you want from an R&B hero? Sure, a new album would be nice, but we’re taking anything we can get. Because this Erykah Badu tour is a can’t-miss event for any neo-soul music fan.
She hasn’t released new music in a while, with her last studio album being 2010’s New Amerykah Part Two. However, fans did get a taste of her 2010s style with a mixtape, 2015’s But You Caint Use My Phone. Badu’s musical style has shifted over the decades, but her depth and versatility have remained constant. Who else can’t wait to hear her best vocal riffs live? We’re also singing our praises for her 2020s reawakening after a few years off. Essentially, Badu is in her prime, and everybody knows it.
“One thing I brag about all the time is that my sister is probably the only artist I know who easily sells out arenas despite not having put out an album in almost a decade,” says Badu’s sister, Koryan, on her Vogue cover story. “And to me, this moment feels like her re-blossoming.” We couldn’t agree more! Badu’s confidence, charisma, and cutting-edge performance style shine during every show. And it’s never been a better time to see the 52-year-old singer in person. Get your Erykah Badu tickets now!
