Elvis Costello and The Imposters 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Elvis Costello and the Imposters have announced a summer 2022 tour, joined by Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets. The legendary British new wave artist will kick off the trek beginning August 6th in Huber Heights, OH, with performances through September 3rd in Las Vegas, NV.
“Pete Thomas, Steve Nieve, and I have been spinning around like your favorite 45rpm for 45 years, and let’s be clear, Davey Faragher isn’t anyone’s deputy,” Costello said in a statement about his longtime bandmates. “The Attractions could have no more made The Boy Named If than we have any desire to time travel back to the Seventies. This is happening right now in 2022, we are coming at you, big as life and twice as ugly.”
For those who don’t know, The Attractions were Costello’s backing band that stood by him through three decades and dozens of hit albums. However, 2022 marks twenty years since the members (minus one) rebranded themselves as The Imposters, and it’s been quite the ride for the longtime musician friends. They released Costello’s 32nd album, The Boy Named If, in January 2022, and can’t wait to get back on the road to play these new tracks for the first time.
