El Alfa 2023 Tour Announcement – La Leyenda del Dembow Tour Schedule
El Alfa has extended the “La Leyenda del Dembow Tour” into the fall of 2023! The Dominican superstar will begin on October 12th in Houston, TX, making stops in Los Angeles, CA, Boston, MA, Reading, PA, and more before wrapping up on December 15th in Chicago, IL.
The name of this El Alfa tour translates to “The Legend of Dembow,” and it’s an accurate description of the multiplatinum singer. He’s owned the Dembow genre over the past decade-plus with dozens of top-charting singles and epic collaborations with fellow artists! Trust us; you’ll be in awe when you witness them all up close on his latest trek. Especially the modern tracks from his latest and greatest album, 2022’s Sagitario.
New songs like “Los Aparatos,” “Curazao,” and “La Mama de la Mama” are unlike anything that El Alfa has done in his fifteen-year-career. Experimenting with guaracha influences, Mexican traditions, and even more A-list collaborations than you’d expect, it’s a seriously big deal. We don’t know how he completed the project in just three months! He opened up to Rolling Stone in late 2022 about the impact of Sagitario and how it helped to reinforce his seat on the Dembow throne.
“I wanted people to see my versatility, but at the end of the day, I know fans are also looking for the essence I’m known for,” he told the publication. “So, on Sagitario, I did everything that represents me — all the sounds of dembow and my biggest hits.” He also reflected on the album title that pays tribute to not only his Zodiac sign but also his superb talent in grabbing people’s attention.
“This album is called Sagitario because I was reading all the things that represent the Sagittarius sign: people who don’t give up, people who command a room and let people know they’ve arrived.” You can say that again, as all the thousands of fans in the crowd at an El Alfa concert know when he hits the stage! He’s had to come a long way (from the Dominican Republic, to be precise) to establish himself in the music industry and give Dembow the spotlight he deserves.
