Earthgang 2022 Tour Announcement – Biodeghettable Tour Schedule
Earthgang has announced the “Biodeghettable” tour for spring 2022, supporting their new release, Ghetto Gods. The hip-hop duo from Atlanta, GA, will kick off their expedition on April 20th in Portland, OR, and continue for over 30 shows before ending at the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, MI, on June 23rd.
“SO MANY SONGS CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY THIS CATALOGUE FOR YOU,” the duo wrote on Instagram alongside the Earthgang tour announcement. If the all-caps statement wasn’t enough of a call to action, they also added three lightning bolt emojis to signal an energy-packed show! The two men called Olu (Johnny Venus), and WowGr8 (Doctur Dot) can’t wait for you to hear the new songs off Ghetto Gods, their second studio album, on the Earthgang tour.
Featuring guest appearances by Future, J. Cole, Music Soulchild, CeeLo Green, and more, music critics can’t get enough of Ghetto Gods since its February 2022 release. Consequence wrote that the album “mixes reggae, gospel, funk, R&B, and hip-hop in an eccentric mix that keeps its feet rooted in Atlanta while sounding like, well, EARTHGANG.”
NME also noticed the group’s tribute to the Georgia city. The publication stated that their new album “finds the Altantans seeking to leave a similar legacy for their city – while staying true to its trap-originating roots.” while serving as a “homage to Atlanta.” They continue to praise the new tracks, including “Billi” and “Power,” representing a new chapter for Earthgang.
Their Atlanta pride has stayed well intact, but a lot has changed since the release of their major-label debut, Spilligion, in September 2020. That record was denied a proper due to the pandemic, and they’re more than making up for it on the 2022 Earthgang tour. Expect to hear songs from both records played out onstage, powered by their fast verses, flawless genre-bending, and close friendship that come together for a killer show.
