Duckwrth 2022 Tour Announcement – Chrome Bull Tour Schedule
Duckwrth is heading on the Chrome Bull tour in summer 2022, kicking off June 10th in Flushing, NY. The Los Angeles-based rapper will continue performances through November 6th in San Diego, CA.
The 34-year-old rapper, born Jared Lee, is supporting his 2021 EP, SG8*. It’s a continuation of his 2020 major-label debut, SuperGood, which we’ll discuss later! For now, Duckwrth is just excited about post-COVID life. This is evident in not only his tour announcement and slot on upcoming music festivals, like Something in the Water with “Pharrel & Phriends,” but also the lyrical content on SG8*. These eight ultra-catchy hip-hop songs discuss the post-pandemic era at its finest — the good, the bad, and the bittersweet.
“Now that things are opening up and we’re living in this post-pandemic state of mind…no one is touching on the new anxieties,” Duckwrth said. “The truth of the matter is we shake the dice every time we’re around people. And now I’m contemplating whether I’ve always struggled with anxiety or if the atmosphere change has bred a new thing in me.”
“Deep down, I still just want to have a good time without fear because we clearly don’t know when this will end,” he continued. “SG8* represents pressing play and hearing something that’ll make you feel good.” As more significant music tours are announced, and life slowly returns to a new type of normal, Duckwrth will be performing these tracks to remind fans that they’re not alone. Not only will he be rapping these new tracks for the first time, but he’ll also give SuperGood the run it deserves.
Released in summer 2022, Duckwrth’s major-label debut was denied a proper tour due to the pandemic. However, it did receive rave reviews. NME gave SuperGood a four-star rating and stated that the record “exudes good vibes” while comparing Duckwrth to Pharrell and N.E.R.D. Meanwhile, the Guardian called the album a “West Coat summer breeze” while paying tribute to Lee’s Southern California roots. The album and its successor are a breath of fresh air that provides beachy and relatable vibes, and we can’t wait to hear every song on the Chrome Bull tour.
