Dreamcatcher 2023 Tour Announcement – Reason: MAKES Tour Schedule
Dreamcatcher is coming to a city near you! The K-Pop girl group is soon embarking on their “REASON: MAKES Tour,” beginning February 28th in Atlanta, GA, and continuing through March 20th in Los Angeles, CA.
The 7-piece group is supporting their third album, Apocalypse: Save Us, released in October 2022. Featuring songs like “Maison” and “Always,” this project is a seriously big deal for Dreamcatcher. It marks the beginning of their “Apocalypse” series after concluding the “Dystopia” EP journey they started in the 2010s, while their latest album has been majorly praised by music critics worldwide. K Pop Reviewed says that it has “a number of 10/10 tracks,” while Time named Apocalypse: Save Us as one of the best K-pop songs and albums of 2022.
While the songs are upbeat and catchy, the subject matter is a bit heavier. Dreamcatcher differs from their fellow K-Pop girl groups in that they aren’t afraid to tackle challenging topics and steer away from dreamy colors in favor of darker themes. They’ve spoken up ever since their formation in 2014, after all, and their latest album is no exception. As the title suggests, Apocalypse: Save Us warns of a dystopian nightmare as the girl group calls for climate action through music. It helps that these lyrics are backed up with electronic synths and guitars, a testament to Dreamcatcher’s hard rock and metal influences that put the issues fresh in your mind from track to track.
“This mini album is a continuation of our last album, of how we want to save Earth from pollution and climate change,” Dreamcatcher member Jiu told Bandwagon about Apocalypse: Save Us. “We know that it’s difficult to suddenly change our habits and actions completely in this instant to save the environment,” she continued, “And so, we talk about heading towards the same direction as one to fight against climate change.” The fight is long and tedious but ever-so-worth it, and they intend to rally for climate change once again on their upcoming Dreamcatcher tour!
