DPR Live 2022 Tour Announcement – Regime World Tour
DPR Live is the latest Korean artist to announce US performances, extending the “Regime World Tour” with dates in fall 2022. Kicking off September 8th in Charlotte, NC, the rapper will visit Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, and more before wrapping up on October 9th in Las Vegas, NV.
The singer, born Hong Da-bin, has been touring throughout spring, giving American audiences a taste of his distinctive K-pop and hip-hop sound. He’s taking a break in summer 2022 before returning in September, and you can’t miss your chance at DPR Live tickets. This trek supports both his pandemic releases that were denied a proper tour, including his 2020 debut album, IS ANYBODY OUT THERE?, and the 2021 EP, lITE COOL.
“DPR Live embarks on new territory in his return to music. Having solidified himself as a force in Korea’s growing rap scene, Live plays by his own rules,” Kult Scene says in their album review. “IS ANYBODY OUT THERE? offers a grittier yet accessible version that was not previously seen.” Indeed, it was quite the departure from his 2017 EPs, titled COMING TO YOU LIVE and HER, but also symbolic of his changes as both an artist and an individual in an increasingly stressful world. It was an interesting time for DPR Live (which stands for Dream Perfect Regime) to release his debut album; there’s no doubt about it. However, the 29-year-old used quarantine to his advantage. Since both first-time listeners and longtime fans around the globe were socially distancing, they had plenty of time to sample these new tracks.
