Dermot Kennedy 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Dermot Kennedy has added more 2022 performance dates, with the Irish singer visiting seven US cities. He’ll kick off the brief trek on July 13th in Grand Rapids, MI, and conclude on September 16th in Berkeley, CA.
Kennedy is one of the UK’s most prominent artists, but US fans can’t wait wait to see him perform his folk-pop songs onstage. He’s continuing to support his debut album, 2019’s Without Fear, which deserves an extra-long touring cycle due to pandemic delay. Kennedy had a blast playing to big crowds for the first time in years on 2021’s “The Better Days tour,” and he’s taking it to a new level of fun and folk-inspired hits with this 2022 Dermot Kennedy concerts.
It’s safe to say that Kennedy’s debut album was a success. It spent 24 consecutive weeks at the top of the Irish charts as of March 2021, with fans applauding Kennedy’s smooth and dreamy vocals on songs like “Moments Passed,” “Power Over Me,” and “Lost.” He’ll play all these essentials on stage, no doubt, while he also has a new single that needs its performance debut.
“Something to Someone” was released in May 2022, and it’s as beautiful as you’d expect from the Dublin-born crooner. Kennedy states that the song’s meaning is “to be something to someone. To love and be loved in return.” “What a comforting thought it is to know that no matter what you endure, no matter how lonely the world may seem, you’re still on somebody’s mind,” he added. “It is the only thing. I want this song to remind whoever hears it that they are loved.”
