Dermot Kennedy 2023 Tour Announcement – Sonder Tour Schedule
Dermot Kennedy has announced the “Sonder Tour” for 2023, taking the Irish singer to dozens of US cities. He’ll kick off on May 6th in Vancouver, BC, making stops in Portland, OR, Morrison, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and more before concluding on June 20th in Camden, NJ.
“The Sonder Tour is coming to North America!” Sonders wrote on Instagram, “Visiting some places that are starting to feel like homes away from home, and some new ones too! A new era, new music, and a new world for us to share on these nights.” This forthcoming chapter will be exciting for the 30-year-old Kennedy, who’s releasing his sophomore effort, Sonder, in November 2022. Featuring new songs like “Dreamer,” “One Life,” and “Kiss Me,” these folk-pop hits are more than ready to be played for the first time to US crowds!
“My relationship with this music is very short-lived,” Kennedy told Rolling Stone about the new tracks, “Like I don’t know it as deeply as I know the other ones. So it almost feels as if me and whoever hears it are going to sort of fall in love with it at the same time.” “Because some of these songs, I don’t know them for a very long time at all,” he continued, “so that’s what makes the idea of touring them so exciting because I can get to know them in a deeper way.”
Kennedy has come a long way since he released his debut, 2019’s Without Fear… considering that he’s gone from busking in Dublin to playing Madison Square Garden! He’s known for his heartfelt songs that resonate deeply with his audience, and he has infinitely more to sing about with his sudden rise to fame.
