Blackberry Smoke 2022 Tour Announcement

Blackberry Smoke is hitting the rod on their Rasslin’ is Real tour for July 2022, taking the Southern rock outfit to 16 US cities. Joined by The Steel Woods and Elizabeth Cook, they’ll kick off the trek on July 7th in St. Augustine, FL, and continue through the 31st in Nashville, IN.

Charlie Starr and his bandmates are supporting two major releases. The first is their seventh studio album, 2021’s You Hear Georgia, which pays tribute to their Atlanta roots over their trademark Southern rock riffs. Last November, they also released the seven-song EP, Stoned, which covers the biggest hits from the Rolling Stones while providing the Blackberry Smoke twist you’ve known and loved for the past 22 years. 

While Blackberry Smoke has kept a lower profile than the Rolling Stones since formation, they’re still known as one of the greatest Americana acts in the game. You Hear Georgia reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Americana chart while they embarked on a summer 2021 trek called “Spirit of the South” that included Allman Betts Band, The While Feathers, and Jaimoe. They couldn’t be more Georgia if they tried, and you’ll see the Atlanta band in all its glory on the upcoming Blackberry Smoke tour.

What Southern rock hits will be on the setlist, in addition to the newer Blackberry Smoke songs? We’d reckon that “One Horse Town,” “Ain’t Much Left of Me,” “Run Away From It All,” and “Good One Comin’ On” are a good bet.
