blackbear 2022 Tour Announcement – Nothing Matters Tour Schedule
blackbear has announced the “Nothing Matters tour” for fall 2022, taking the millennial rapper-rocker to 15 cities. Joined by Mod Sun, State Champs, Waterparks, and Heart Attack Man on select dates, he’ll kick off this blackbear tour on September 4th in Atlanta, GA, and continue through the 29th in Seattle, WA.
The first headlining blackbear tour in three years will be nothing short of incredible, especially given the sentimental value of the album it supports. His upcoming sixth record, In Loving Memory, is a bittersweet tribute to his late father. And needless to say, it definitely takes a more serious turn than past singles like “idfc,” “do re mi,” and “hot girl bummer.”
You may know blackbear from his collaborations and prank-filled studio sessions with Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly, the latter of whom he joined on the Mainstream Sellout tour in summer 2022. However, this expedition will show a whole new side of the artist, showcasing his musical evolution while bringing his explosive energy to life in the country’s top venues.
blackbear is known for dabbling in many genres. He’s a member of the alternative hip-hop/R&B group Mansionz alongside Mike Posner, is commonly found on the pop charts, and has collaborated with rock bands like All Time Low. However, pop-punk is where his true loyalties lie… and this is the direction he’s going with In Loving Memory.
“I came from emo, spot on,” blackbear told Alternative Press. “My new album is very alternative and pop punk. I am doing it with [blink 182’s] Travis Barker, and it’s called In Loving Memory.” “The whole idea behind the album is [a] letter to my father who passed away, and I never got to say goodbye,” he continued. “I’m making this music that is true to my roots, and I’m bringing out guest stars like Jordan Pundik from New Found Glory and Bert McCracken from The Used. I’m paying homage to the bands I grew up listening to with this album.”
If there’s anything that blackbear and his best friend Machine Gun Kelly have proved over the past few months, 2022 is the year of emo revival. They’re returning to their roots with eyeliner, tight pants, epic guitar riffs, and all… and we can’t wait to see blackbear in his natural habitat. Get your tickets to the blackbear tour today!
