Billy Idol 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Billy Idol is back at it again! The punk rock hero has announced a handful of new shows for fall 2023. He’ll kick off on August 27th in Vancouver, BC, making stops in Bonner, MT, Washington, DC, Boston, MA, and more before concluding with a brief Las Vegas residency from October 20-28.
It’s only been a few weeks since he wrapped up his spring Billy Idol concerts, including a performance at the inaugural Cruel World Festival in Los Angeles. But any fan of the 67-year-old rocker knows he can’t stay away from the road for long! Nothing gives him greater joy than belting out his best hits like “Eyes Without A Face,” “Rebel Yell,” and “White Wedding.” Along with some new songs from his 2022 EP, The Cage, of course.
The Cage is a purely punk rock release representing all Idol stands for. He’s dedicated his nearly half-century career to having fun and making a difference, often simultaneously. And new tracks like “Running From the Ghost,” “Cage,” and “Rebel Like You” certainly reflect it! Idol describes The Cage as having “a lot more coming at you. Loads more guitar. And that’s a lot of fun.”
“We were pretty fired up by the fact that we hadn’t played for a couple of years, and suddenly we were bursting on stage,” he says about himself and his band, including longtime friend and guitarist Steve Stevens. “And it kind of woke us up to what the next EP could be.” “That it could be a little more strum und drang, a little more coming at you, a little more rock ‘n’ roll, a little more f*** you! Well, a tiny bit of f*** you, anyhow. The bottom line is we had a lot of fun doing it.”
But for the record, he’s had a lot of fun performing it, too! Billy Idol has spent the past couple of years almost exclusively on the road, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether he’s posting a selfie with Siouxsie Sioux after not seeing each other for three decades like he did at Cruel World Fest, or playing festivals like Jazz Aspen Snowmass like he will in just a few months. Get ready to see the original punk rock icon in the flesh at a Billy Idol concert, with tickets now available for the following dates!
