Ben Platt 2022 Tour Announcement – Reverie Tour Schedule
Ben Platt is setting out on his Reverie tour in early 2022, celebrating the singer’s second studio album! This trek begins on February 23rd in Orlando, FL, and continues through April 8th in Los Angeles, CA.
“I have been waiting and waiting, ever since I wrote these songs, to perform them live for you so that we can all dance, chat, and cry together,” Platt said in an Instagram video. “All those good things that we have been craving so deeply, and it’s just my favorite thing in the whole world to sing live for you.”
He isn’t exaggerating, as any Ben Platt fan knows that singing is his favorite activity. When he’s not performing in musicals like The Book of Mormon and Dear Evan Hansen (where he originated the role of Evan on Broadway) or releasing solo albums, he’s performing song covers just for fun on social media.
In fact, Platt’s covers of songs like “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn and “Needy” by Ariana Grande inspired many fans throughout the pandemic – as his love for performing is evident even on Instagram. And then there’s his breathtaking cover of Lady Gaga’s “You and I,” which he recorded for the singer’s 10th Anniversary celebration album, Born This Way Reimagined.
Now that live music is making its return, Platt is celebrating with his own songs – releasing his second album, Reverie, in August 2021. Songs like “Imagine” and “Happy to Be Sad” pay tribute to his Broadway background while infusing the modern pop sound that’s a significant part of his musical journey.
