Beartooth 2024 Tour Announcement – Summer Tour Schedule
Beartooth is heading back on the road this summer! The post-hardcore heroes have announced a new trek, beginning on July 5th in Las Vegas, NV. They’ll stop in Hammond, IN, Worcester, MA, Chattanooga, TN, and more before finishing up on August 3rd in Fayetteville, AR.
“SURPRISE! We’re heading back on the road this summer!” Beartooth wrote on Instagram. “We’re bringing along Currents, Boundaries, and NEVERTEL.” It was a pleasant surprise for fans of the band, many of whom attended the Beartooth concerts they wrapped up just this spring. But still riding on the excitement of their fifth album, 2023’s The Surface, the group knew they weren’t finished performing these new songs yet. Especially frontman Caleb Shomo.
You see, the 31-year-old is happier and healthier than ever, which has manifested itself into his music in a beautiful way. For most of his life, he struggled with severe mental health and self-esteem issues, which were obvious in Beartooth projects like 2014’s Disgusting. Who remembers when he sang “What is the poison inside of me? The sickness in my head?” on the hit song “The Lines?”
He’s replaced these self-loathing lyrics with loving melodies on new songs like “Sunshine!” “The Better Me,” and “Might Love Myself.” And we absolutely love that for him. “It is a very revolutionary time for me in my life, and to be able to make a record during that has made this one of the most special records I ever make in my career,” Shomo told Rolling Stone Australia about The Surface.
“I’ve talked about it constantly in interviews, but I’ve always been very afraid of being any sort of influence on anybody. I’ve been very, very insecure; I’ve been so f***ed up and thought I should not be any sort of influence, or any sort of figure in anybody’s life. I feel like with this, I’m very proud of what I have to say. I want people to hear it.” Indeed, the fire that’s ignited in Shomo has since spread to his loyal fans, helping them rediscover their self-worth, happiness, and motivation through Beartooth’s music.
Needless to say, there’s no greater measure of success than that for Shomo. Although, the countless positive reviews, No. 42 entry on the Billboard 200, and first-ever No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, with “Might Love Myself,” don’t hurt, either! You’ll feel better than ever at a Beartooth concert, and can’t miss your chance to get tickets this Friday, May 10th.
