Barenaked Ladies 2022 Tour Announcement – Last Summer on Earth Tour Schedule
Barenaked Ladies are continuing their “Last Summer on Earth tour,” taking the rock band to dozens of US cities. Their next show occurs June 13th in Saratoga, CA, with Barenaked Ladies concerts continuing through September 4th in Palmer, AK.
“What a pleasure it is to be getting back to live music,” vocalist Ed Roberston says about the 2022 Barenaked Ladies tour. “We’re so grateful to everybody who’s stuck with this tour being rescheduled multiple times. We can’t wait to get out and play for you! We’re ready to rock…and we suspect you are too!” Drummer Tyler Stewart had a similar sentiment, showing love to his bandmates, longtime fans, and supporting acts.
“We Barenaked Ladies are really looking forward to rocking out with our friends Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket on the Last Summer on Earth Tour 2022,” Stewart says. “Don’t miss it; we can’t wait to see y’all out there dancing, singing, and partying again.” Fans will certainly be partying after waiting through years of a global pandemic to see another Barenaked Ladies tour. And the Toronto-based, multiplatinum band will ensure that they put on the best shows of their lives.
They’re supporting the release of their 13th album, 2021’s Detour de Force, featuring new singles like “Flip,” “New Disaster,” and “Good Life.” These songs show what Barenaked Ladies are all about, an alt-rock group with a sense of humor and appreciation for everything from folk and indie to pop and geek rock. Yes, geek rock is an actual musical genre. In addition to the new album, they’re also paying tribute to their debut album, Gordon, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022.
Songs from Gordon may make it onto the setlist at these Barenaked Ladies concerts, plus other hits from the past three decades. Remember “One Little Slip,” “Lovers in a Dangerous Time,” “Pinch Me,” and, of course, their iconic theme song for the hit TV show The Big Bang Theory?
