BABYMETAL AND Dethklok 2023 Tour Announcement – Babyklock Tour Schedule
BABYMETAL and Dethklock are hitting the road together for the aptly-titled “Babyklock tour.” And it will be a metal fest unlike any other! Join them beginning August 30th in Houston, TX, with stops in Nashville, TN, Philadelphia, PA, Salt Lake City, UT, and more. This BABYMETAL tour will wrap up on October 11th in Los Angeles, CA.
This is an exciting trek for metal fans across the globe… with plenty of firsts happening on the Babyklock tour. It’s the first time that BABYMETAL is touring in the US in over four years, before the pandemic. Meanwhile, Dethklok is reuniting after seven years away. Pretty cool, right? They’ll also perform tracks from their respective brand-new albums. This means that all 29 stops of the trek will be sacred for longtime fans of both fans.
For those who haven’t heard of BABYMETAL, they’re a Kawaii metal trio that emerged from their native Tokyo over a decade ago. Spoiler alert: they instantly made waves in the US. All three members were just teenagers (except for Momometal, who was 7!) at the time they emerged in 2010. But that didn’t stop them from releasing ragers like “KARATE,” “GJ!,” and “Road of Resistance.”
These metal hits caused a riot in the country’s biggest arenas as BABYMETAL toured the world, and they’re thrilled to be back in the US. They’re celebrating their fourth and latest album, 2023’s The Other One, which includes new singles like “Divine Attack” and “Monochrome.” Not to mention, it seems to be one of their most personal records yet that introduces you to the authentic BABYMETAL.
“Last year BABYMETAL was “sealed” from the world after a successful 10-year journey,” according to a press release. “In April 2022, THE OTHER ONE restoration project began to recover the BABYMETAL we never knew existed within a virtual world called the METALVERSE. A total of 10 songs were discovered within THE OTHER ONE restoration project. With each song representing a unique theme based on 10 separate parallel worlds that they have discovered.”
There you have it. BABYMETAL has always taken their fans to another world with their music, whether it’s their native Tokyo or to euphoria with their metal masterpieces. But this era takes things to a new level. And they can’t wait to show off these new tunes onstage! As for their bandmates? Dethklok is back in business after nearly a decade of hiatus. And you’ll be blown away by what they have planned.
Dethklok is a real band that plays melodic death metal. However, they were based on the fictional group from the Adult Swim series, Metalocalypse. For years, they continued on and off-screen as they released three albums, the last one being 2012’s Dethalbum III, and toured the world together. That ended in 2016 as they announced that they were taking a break, but fans knew that it wouldn’t last long. And luckily, they were right.
