Atmosphere and Iration 2022 Tour Announcement – Sunshine & Summer Nights Tour Schedule

Hip-hop duo Atmosphere is embarking on a co-headlining trek with sunshine reggae giants Iration, aptly titled the “Sunshine & Summer Nights tour.” The two bands will kick off on July 8th in Las Vegas, NV, and continue through August 26th in Irvine, CA.

“We cannot wait to run around this summer making party with the people… I need to hear the sounds of smiles and feel the sun’s nourishment,” Slug of Atmosphere said about upcoming performances. “Going out on the road with Iration is a blessing. They are pros at making party. We will bathe in the vibes.” Hailing from Santa Barbara, CA, the guys in Iration are experts at putting on sun-soaked shows that deliver summer vibes. Especially since they’re one of the most prominent groups in the “sunshine reggae” genre. That being said, Atmosphere has a few tricks up its sleeve for summer 2022… and we can’t wait to dance along to these legendary groups.

Both artists are celebrating semi-recent album releases. Atmosphere came out with their twelfth record, WORD?, in October 2021, featuring songs like “Sleepless” and “Woes” plus an assortment of A-list guest stars. Iration’s seventh album, Coastin’, was released in summer 2020, and they’re finally giving it the proper post-pandemic tour it deserves. These new songs will take up a good portion of the setlist, but they’ll also play the older hits you’ve loved for decades.

Atmosphere has been around for nearly three decades, hailing from Minnesota and quickly becoming one of the most famous hip-hop duos ever. Members Ant and Slug have since formed their own solo careers, but they’ll always come back for an Iration tour. They’ve helped inspire plenty of other artists, including Iration! In fact, Iration frontman Micah Pueschel has stated that the group is “incredibly stoked to be going out this summer alongside Atmosphere” as they are “a group that we have loved and listened to since our first tour.” That was back in 2004, and Iration has gone nowhere but up since then.
